Le Cafe Michi

Le Cafe Michi
1796 Pharmacy Avenue
(416) 490 - 9688

I love Cafe Michi! it is such a small place in a hidden plaza, if my friend hadn't suggested it I wouldve never known there was a restaurant there! This is located on the corner of pharmacy & sheppard.

The bakery was great, the food was great, sashimi was fresh, and you can tell it's authentic Japanese food! I didn't try too many dishes as you can see from below but each one was amazing! I can't wait to go back and try more of their cakes :) Definately call ahead and reserve a table as it gets really busy during the lunch hours and weekends.

It is slightly on the more expensive end but not overpriced at all.. I mean compared to restaurants such as Gal's Sushi and such... it costs SLIGHTLY more.. the chirashi was $35 but worth every penny :)

Salad & Seaweed Salad

Chicken & egg on rice
chicken was moist, eggs were done perfectly (slightly runny but not too raw, cooked but not overcooked) I can safely say this is the best I`ve ever tasted for this dish!

their signature chirashi!
uni was ridiculously fresh, there was also a botan shrimp, scallop, and hamachi to name some of the pricier sashimi in the dish. There is another chirashi offered at le Cafe Michi but I think this was the higher quality one? Definately very fresh... I am drooling as I think about this.. the pleasant suprise is that unlike normal chirashi which is on top of a bed of rice, this chirashi is on top of a bed of rice with bbq eel!

Green tea creme brulee, the sugary coating is freshly baked as you order : )

had to take out the green tea & red bean cake and hazelnut meringue, the bakery is amazing !!! i can't wait to go back
